Lisbon Sister Style

Set in our favorite era (the 70s), The Virgin Suicides, a novel turned drama by genius director Sofia Coppola, tells the story of the Lisbon sisters. In a sleepy suburb of Detroit, we see the sisters (ages ranging 13-17) awkwardly explore their womanhood under the reign of their strict parents. We love their sassy, cheeky attitudes and free spirits – because rules were made to be broken, right?

Doctor: What are you doing here, honey? You’re not even old enough to know how bad life gets.

Cecilia: Obviously Doctor, you’ve never been a thirteen year old girl.

Let’s not forget about Lux Lisbon’s crush, Trip Fontaine, the ultimate bad-boy #camperboyfriend. He even sneaks peach schnapps into the school dance because, “Babes love it.”

Today we’d like to pay homage to the sisters’ effortless school girl-esque style. From their uniform button-ups to their white floral homecoming dresses, the girls absolutely kill it.
